When your AC quits in the middle of an Orlando August, the person who shows up at your door matters. Our crew is built from people who’ve been turning wrenches in this city’s heat for years, not call-center dispatchers reading a script. We’re a small, tight team here at Meadowsweet Heating and Air Orlando, and we share one habit: we treat every house like it’s got a sleeping baby, a nervous dog, and a homeowner who’s been burned by sloppy contractors before. Because in this town, that’s usually exactly what’s waiting for us.
Styles & brands we work with

Our People
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been fixing air conditioners in Orlando since 2009, and he’s seen everything a Florida summer can throw at a condenser. He holds his EPA 608 universal certification and handles the high-stakes calls: failed compressors, refrigerant leaks, electrical diagnostics. What sets Marcus apart is his habit of explaining the problem in plain terms before he reaches for a tool. He’ll show you the burned contactor, tell you why it failed, and quote you the fix before anything gets touched. Off the clock, he’s rebuilding a 1970s Triumph motorcycle in his garage, slowly. His wife says the motorcycle has a better AC system than their first apartment.
Dana R., Senior Installer
Dana has led our AC installation crews since joining the Cedarwell family in 2016, and she’s the reason our installs come out clean enough that you’d never know we were there. She specializes in Carrier, Trane, and Daikin systems, and she’s gotten our trickiest retrofit jobs done on schedule, including tight attic work in College Park and older ductwork in Winter Park. Dana is the person who photographs the cleanup before the crew leaves, because she’s the one who set that standard. She keeps a roll of blue painter’s tape in her pocket at all times, and the crew knows better than to move a family photo without asking. Her two golden retrievers, Biscuit and Gravy, are regular fixtures in our break room conversations, and Dana will absolutely ask to see pictures of your pets.
Elena V., Service Coordinator
Elena is the person who answers when you call Meadowsweet Heating and Air Orlando, and she’s been doing it since 2018. She knows the neighborhoods, the traffic patterns, and how to get a technician to your home fast when the AC dies on a Saturday afternoon in Dr. Phillips or a furnace acts up on a January night in Baldwin Park. Elena schedules every job with a written price guarantee in mind, meaning she’ll tell you exactly what to expect before the truck rolls. She’s fluent in Spanish and English, which helps when explaining repair timelines or warranty paperwork. Elena keeps a running list of the best cafecito spots in Orlando, and she will defend her top pick to anyone who disagrees.
Jalen P., Apprentice Technician
Jalen joined us in 2024 after completing his HVAC training at Orange Technical College, and he rides with Marcus or Dana on every call. He’s currently working toward his own EPA certification and handles the detail work: filter checks, drain line maintenance, capacitor testing, and double-checking that shoe covers go on before we cross the threshold. Jalen grew up in Pine Hills and knows what it’s like when the AC goes out in a house with no shade on the west side. He’s fast, careful, and asks smart questions. When he’s not carrying tools, he’s fishing for bass out at Lake Apopka, usually without much luck, which he’s happy to admit.
One Standard, Every Job
Every member of this crew works under the same standard, and it’s not a slogan. It’s the Cedarwell Care Promise. Before any work starts in your Orlando home, we put a written price in your hand. That’s non-negotiable. We lay down drop cloths on your floors and put shoe covers on at the door, every time, no exceptions. When the work is done, we take a photo of the cleanup and show it to you before we leave. Those aren’t upsells. They’re part of every job, whether we’re replacing a capacitor in a Goodman unit or installing a full Rheem system. We follow the C.A.R.E. values: clean up like it’s our own home, ask before moving anything, respect your family’s time and quiet hours, and explain the price before the work. Luis Serrano built the Orlando crew around that code because he’s seen what sloppy work does to a family’s trust. Our job is to fix the air and leave your home better than we found it.
Want to meet the crew in person? Call (850) 845-8659 and talk to Elena. She’ll set you up with a real appointment and a real price.
